Volumetric Weight is the main factor of shipment cost.The more weight and dimension of parcel lead to higher shipment cost.The actual weight with parcel dimension considered as parcel Volumetric Weight.So before shipping parcel make sure you are following right weight and dimensions to save the cost.You can calculate DTDC volume or dimensional weight according to length,breadth and height.
Calculation Method :
For Air Express & Air Cargo:
Length x Breadth x Height (in cms)
6000
For Surface:
Length x Breadth x Height (in cms)
4750
For International:
Length x Breadth x Height (in cms)
5000
Please note that if parcel dimension exceeds 110cms then 2 times the weight (Gross or Volumetric) is directly charged to the customer.
